Chris Eubank Jr returns to the scene of the crime less than eight months on when he tangles once again with domestic middleweight rival Liam Smith at the AO Arena in Manchester.
After his proposed superfight with Conor Benn collapsed due to the latter testing positive for the banned substance clomifene, Eubank (32-3, 23 KOs) was stopped for the first time in his career when former super welterweight champion Smith (33-3-1, 20 KOs) brutally separated him from his sense in the fourth round.
“He was terrified of getting hit and when I did hit him, it was over,” Smith said after the fight and he is confident of administering a repeat dose.
Eubank split with coach Roy Jones Jr. after the fight and has teamed up with Brian “BoMac” McIntyre, who masterminded Terence Crawford’s masterful dismantling of Errol Spence in July.
However, Amir Khan’s comprehensive 2022 defeat to Kell Brook shows there are no guarantees for British fighters who parachute McIntyre into grudge matches.

“My career is on the line,” Eubank said. “I’ve probably never had this amount of pressure on me.”
Jack Cullen produced a standout display on a stacked undercard, upsetting the odds to knock out Mark Heffron in round three and take his British and Commonwealth super middleweight titles.
Olympic bronze medalist Frazer Clarke is in action against popular heavyweight slugger Dave Allen.
