GBC Winnemucca is the center of higher education in north central Nevada. The center has nine classrooms, including one computer and a science lab, a computer-equipped ESL facility and an Academic Success Center (ASC) with an open computer lab for students.

Offered at the Winnemucca Center are live classes and classes conducted in synchrony with other GBC locations via Interactive Video (IAV).

Students in the Winnemucca area may also wish to take classes via WebCampus (the Internet) using lab computers at the center or an Internet-connected computer at home.

GBC Winnemucca offers academic advisement, and tutoring in English and Math as well as placement and proctored testing to GBC students.

Live Tutoring

Live tutoring is available in English/Writing and Math/Science. Tutoring hours are generally Monday, Tues, Thurs 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., Wednesday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, students are encouraged to come in and sign up or by phone to schedule a specific tutor and time.

Computer Labs

• Lab hours:
  • Fall and Spring Semesters:
    • Monday, Tues, Thurs 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., Wednesday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, closed.
  • Lab hours may be limited during the summer months, and labs may be closed on holidays. Students using GBC computing facilities must be familiar with and abide by Lab Rules.
